Morning Balloon Flight

We’re on the second day of the Arlington Fly-in air show Greg Lynda, Sharon and Mike got up around 4 am so we could meet Larry Simburger and his crew out on the airfield for a morning air flight over Arlington. Below are some pictures from the balloon flight. Click on any picture you want to see full size. I will add a link to the post later that will include the videos we shot as well.

We would like to thank Larry and his son Matt for letting us come out and help him crew for his balloon we had fun.

April 24 through 26 2009

The Family traveled to beautiful Thousand Oaks California over the weekend and visited a bit of history. Making stop to see their Alma-mater represented at the local Fuddruckers. Check out the pictures below, which captures a moment in time, a brother and sister sitting side by side taking a trip back in time. Their spouses in reflection*.

To complete this journey they traveled to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, to share in the experience of another history, a national history, and arguably one of the best Leaders the United Sates ever had.

Christmas 08

Wow how 2008 flew by, and it ended well! The family got together and had a blast. Becky learned how to drive an ATV, he, he now Mom and Dad won’t be so nervous when she learns how to drive an actual car. That has a few years to go. Angela was able to snap a few good photos.

A Christmas Letter

We are sorry we missed our trip to Wichita, Ks due to an unexpected gall bladder removal for Lynda Thursday December 20^th. Lynda in the hospital from Tuesday until Friday December 21^st. Home now and feeling better will be taking at easy for a few weeks. Greg is now chief cook and bottle washer and has his hands full taking care of Lynda.

Thanks to all our friends and family for your support and the beautiful
flowers. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

White Christmas

Tim, & Angela Jacobs, Lynda’s sister and brother in law enjoy a white Christmas for X-Mas 2007. Looks like some storm! There are some great Photo’s here make sure you read on to see a few more. In other news Lynda and Greg had to postpone their trip to Wichita till February due to an acute gal-bladder infection which forced Lynda into the hospital over the 2007 Holiday season. More info on this to come in the next post. The family sends its best wishes to Lynda and for her swift recovery.

What’s New 2007

Holidays 2007 has seen a lot of events in the family, such as the family get together down in Phoenix over Thanksgiving week. Which really got slated in order to move Mike to California. Dad and (Mom) Lynda came down from Washington to help effect the move. Thanks to all the family assistance from Mom and Dad plus, Sharon, Dennis, Grandma as well as thanks are well deserved for Austin and Baily who where a big help too.

The point from Pack up to move out, and turn in the keys took about 4 days, and another 3 days on arrival to California.
Before Mike would leave Arizona there was time yet for family. The family came together and helped around Grandma Marilyn’s Greg fixed this and that and we all pitched in where we could and where able, doing our best to bare the heat and work around the climate. It was commented more then a few times how fun it was to work together as a family & accomplish what we set out to do. The Layout out of landscape rock was one of the biggest and most fulfilling projects making Grandma’s new home even more lovely, and Grandma new just when the time was right to lay out the snacks and keep us all well fed. We really had a great time, and it was so wonderful to bring everyone together.

We have added some of the latest pictures taken over on the left menu. Do enjoy them that is what they are there for.
Michael has arrived in California and is all set to persue his new future, and Greg and Lynda have returned to their homes in Washington a day ahead of schedule. With time to spare to unload the extras that where sent up in preperation for summer. They prepare for the coming work week and ready themselves for the next big trip. Yje Johnson’s are expected to visit Family in Wichita this Christmas, and everyone there is excited to host them for the season.
